It's mostly played for laughs but gideons relationships on the ninth hurt me man. She's so lonely and unloved. She completely overcompensates with humor and sarcasm. But nona was very right when she said gideon nav is the saddest girl in the world ;-;
even from the very beginning. Has she ever gotten a sincere hug, or even any kind of hug as a kid? Her best relationship is with aiglamene and even she only tolerates gideon and respects her skills w her sword. That's it.
There's a hole in gideons chest that appeared not at the end of the first book but way back when a little 4 year old gideon tried to escape the ninth for the first time because she was so unloved.
